Paysafecard at online casinos: deposits, limits and the route to a withdrawal

Values per casino compared.

How we collect the data →

Anyone in Austria who wants to deposit at an online casino with Paysafecard will not find the prepaid method in the Austrian cashier of Spinanga, LunuBet, BassBet, Spinrollz or Kingmaker. In the data for Austria, Paysafecard is not listed at any of the five brands, neither for deposits nor for withdrawals. PayPal is missing there as well.

Paysafecard is nevertheless the method Austrian players ask about most: “paysafe casino”, “online casino paysafecard”, “casino mit paysafecard” and “online casino paysafecard einzahlen” are typical searches. Where Paysafecard sits in the overall picture next to cards, bank payments, wallets and crypto, and which method is actually listed at which casino, is shown in the overview of payment methods compared. This page is about Paysafecard itself and the questions that keep coming up with this method.

The page follows the money: which lists name Paysafecard at the five brands and which do not, how a PIN deposit works, what is different with a my paysafecard account, which method is used to withdraw after a prepaid deposit, why the payment receipt matters so much, and what the Austrian E-Money Act says about redeeming a balance. The basis is the cashier lists, help centres, FAQs and terms of the five brands. Where Casino.Guru, AskGamblers or LCB say something different, that is noted as a deviation. Added to this are voices from Austrian players who deposited with Paysafecard.

Paysafecard at the 5 casinos

The finding is the same at all five brands: Paysafecard does not appear in the cashier for Austria with EUR as the currency. The same applies to the two other prepaid vouchers that often appear next to Paysafecard in lists: Neosurf and CashtoCode are not listed in the Austrian data of any of the five brands either. The wording matters. “Not listed” means that the method is not offered in the Austrian cashier as recorded in the data. Whether the casino rejects Paysafecard in principle cannot be read from that.

PayPal. The second method many Austrian players look for first is missing for the same reason. The situation for PayPal at casinos, and which routes the five brands offer for Austria instead, is summarised on a separate page. Paysafecard and PayPal are read the same way: not listed in the data, with deviations only in global lists from third-party sources.

Deviating lists. Players still search for Paysafecard at these brands because of third-party sources. Casino.Guru names PaysafeCard in its cross-country lists for all five brands: at Spinanga among 38 methods, at LunuBet among 51, at BassBet among 38, at Spinrollz among 24 and at Kingmaker among 54. For Spinanga, AskGamblers and LCB also list Paysafecard in their global lists. None of these lists refers to Austria. For Austria, the operator's cashier is what counts, and Paysafecard is missing there.

What is listed. For deposits, all five Austrian cashiers list eps, Visa and Mastercard, bank transfer, Revolut, MiFinity and a range of cryptocurrencies. Spinanga and BassBet also list PlayID. Skrill appears only on the withdrawal side at all five; Neteller, Jeton, Trustly, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Klarna/“Sofort” are not listed. The help-centre short list at Spinanga and the FAQ at LunuBet do mention “Sofort” and Giropay among the most common methods, but both lists are explicitly location-dependent.

Bonus. For the welcome bonus, all five brands require a minimum deposit of €20, and all five exclude Neteller and Skrill from the bonus. Paysafecard is on none of these exclusion lists because it is not offered in the Austrian cashier at all. Anyone who wants the bonus therefore deposits through one of the listed methods.

Player voices. Reports from Austrian players show that Paysafecard is still widespread at casinos used from Austria. One writes: “ich zahle dort aber wenn nur mehr mit Paysafecard und Skrill ein” (I only deposit there with Paysafecard and Skrill now) and describes several deposits that were not credited. Another reports a Paysafecard payment of €50 that the casino displayed as failed: “in meinem Transaktionsverlauf im Casino bekam ich die Meldung das die Zahlung fehlgeschlagen ist”. What to check in such cases when a deposit not received is the problem is explained step by step on the dedicated page.

Depositing with a PIN: step by step

Paysafecard works with a PIN: the voucher is bought at a point of sale, in Austria for example at a Trafik (tobacconist), and the balance is released at checkout using the PIN. Alternatively, the payment runs through a my paysafecard account. No bank account or card is needed for the payment itself. That is why many players search for “online casino paysafecard bezahlen”. In a cashier that offers Paysafecard, the process usually follows this pattern:

  1. 1

    Checking the cashier list

Open the deposit area in your player account and check whether Paysafecard is in the list for Austria. At Spinanga, LunuBet, BassBet, Spinrollz and Kingmaker it is not.

  2. 2

    Choose method and amount

Select Paysafecard and enter an amount within the limits the cashier shows for this method.

  3. 3

Use the PIN or the account

In the payment provider's window, enter the voucher PIN or confirm the payment via the my paysafecard account.

  4. 4

    Save the confirmation

Keep the payment confirmation with date, amount and recipient as a screenshot or document before closing the window.

  5. 5

    Checking the credit

Back in the cashier, check the balance and the transaction history.

At the five brands, this process ends at the first step, because Paysafecard does not appear in the Austrian cashier. Anyone who wants to deposit close to cash and without a card ends up with bank payments there. Closest to the Paysafecard idea of not storing card details at the casino is the eps transfer: the payment is approved in the online banking of your own bank, not in the cashier. eps is listed for deposits at all five brands, with a minimum of €15 at Spinanga, BassBet, Spinrollz and Kingmaker and, according to the Austrian cashier, €20 at LunuBet.

Small amounts are a frequent question, for example in searches like “online casino einzahlung 5 euro paysafecard” or “online casino paysafecard €5”. An amount of €5 does not appear in any of the five Austrian cashiers. Spinanga, BassBet, Spinrollz and Kingmaker name €10 for card, bank transfer, Revolut and MiFinity; LunuBet names €20 according to the Austrian cashier and “usually €10” according to its FAQ. Both figures stand side by side; what counts for an individual payment is what the cashier asks for when the amount is entered.

Players looking for the anonymity of a prepaid voucher often ask about cryptocurrencies too. With crypto at casinos, the coins are listed in both directions at all five brands. Bitcoin has its own minimum deposit of €30 there; the other coins start at €10 according to the cashier, at LunuBet at €20. Unlike with a PIN, this requires a wallet of your own, and the casino's verification stays the same for every method.

Only two of the five brands give a time for the credit. Spinanga writes in its help centre that deposits are credited “almost instantly” in the vast majority of cases and that it can take up to two hours. LunuBet uses the same wording in its FAQ. For BassBet, Spinrollz and Kingmaker, the data contains no information on how long crediting takes.

One rule applies to every deposit, including one made with a voucher: all five brands require the payment method used to belong to the player. Spinanga, BassBet, Spinrollz and Kingmaker prohibit transfers between customers, and BassBet explicitly treats the use of someone else's payment method as fraud. Whether a voucher bought by someone else falls under this rule is not answered explicitly by the terms.

my paysafecard: account and limits

Besides the single PIN there is the my paysafecard account, where balance is collected and from which payments are made. For players this makes a difference as soon as something goes wrong. A player from Austria describes a payment that the casino displayed as failed, even though “das Geld wurde allerdings erfolgreich von meinem Paysafecard Konto abgebucht” (the money was successfully debited from my Paysafecard account). The debit therefore ran through the account, not through a single PIN. The booking was documented in the account but missing at the casino.

Card instead of account. Players who would rather pay by card than with prepaid balance will find Visa and Mastercard listed in both directions at all five brands. In the cashier, the deposit is usually called “Pay by Card” and the withdrawal “Withdraw to Card”. Minimum and maximum amounts as well as refunds to the card are covered on the page about credit cards at casinos. Unlike a PIN, a card payment leaves an entry on the card statement that can later serve as proof.

This raises the question of what “failed” means when my paysafecard shows the debit. The message at the casino and the booking at the payment provider are two separate records. Comparing both sides gives the most important basis for clarification: the entry in the casino's transaction history and the booking in the account with date and amount.

Limits. The data contains no information on the limits of a my paysafecard account. On the casino side, by contrast, there are clear limits per method. The Austrian cashiers of Spinanga, LunuBet, BassBet, Spinrollz and Kingmaker name, per deposit, €900 for eps, €2,000 for card, €2,500 for MiFinity and €5,000 for bank transfer, Revolut and cryptocurrencies. Spinanga adds in its terms that the operator sets minimum and maximum amounts at its own discretion.

Withdrawals are subject to daily and monthly limits per VIP level. At Spinanga, BassBet and Spinrollz, level 1 means €500 per day and €7,000 per month; LunuBet names 500 EUR per transaction, 500 EUR per day and 7,000 EUR per month for level 1. Kingmaker gives no amounts in its terms; according to Casino.Guru it is 500 EUR per day and 7,000 EUR per month. At Spinanga and BassBet, a maximum of 3 withdrawals may be pending at the same time.

The law in Austria. Under § 3 GSpG, gambling in Austria is reserved to the federal state; the licence for online gambling is held by win2day of Casinos Austria. Payment blocking by payment service providers is only planned so far: according to government bill RV 594 d.B., payments to providers without a licence are to be identifiable and blockable in future, with entry into force planned at the end of 31.12.2026. As of 09.10.2026, the bill is with the Finance Committee and deliberations have not yet begun. What this is meant to mean for bank, card and prepaid payments is set out on the page about the legal situation in Austria.

At Spinanga, one practical rule is added: deposits and withdrawals can be blocked until verification is completed. Submitting the documents early avoids a balance sitting in the player account that cannot be used for the time being.

Withdrawing after a Paysafecard deposit

After a prepaid deposit, one of the most frequent questions is how to withdraw. In the Austrian lists of the five brands, Paysafecard is not listed on the withdrawal side either. The withdrawal side there covers card, bank transfer, Revolut, Skrill, MiFinity and cryptocurrencies, plus PlayID at Spinanga and BassBet.

How the return route is chosen is set out in the terms, with slightly different wording:

  • Spinanga: withdrawals wherever possible via the same method as the deposit; the operator may use other payment systems.
  • LunuBet: the same method wherever possible; if it is not available for withdrawals, choose another option, with bank transfer as the fallback.
  • BassBet: the same payment method wherever possible; the operator may use another payment system.
  • Spinrollz: the same payment method wherever possible; under terms 6.10 the casino may pay out via another payment system.
  • Kingmaker: the same payment method where possible under terms 6.2; under terms 6.10 the company may use a different payment system.

Spinanga. According to the Austrian cashier, the minimum withdrawal is €10 for card, bank transfer, Revolut, Skrill and MiFinity, €20 for PlayID and most coins, and €60 for Bitcoin. For bank transfers, Spinanga names 3–5 working days after the payout, AskGamblers 3–7 days. With e-wallets, according to the operator, the money can appear shortly after the payout, according to AskGamblers within 0–24 hours. All figures for the brand are on the page about Spinanga Casino payment methods.

LunuBet. LunuBet is the only one of the five brands that explicitly names bank transfer as the fallback when the deposit method is not available for withdrawals. That is exactly the case after a prepaid deposit. According to the Austrian cashier, the minimum withdrawal is €20 for card, bank transfer, Revolut, Skrill, MiFinity and crypto, and €60 for Bitcoin. For processing, LunuBet names 72 business hours at VIP level 1, 48 at level 2 and 36 at levels 3–5 according to its terms, but four working days according to its FAQ. For the bank, the FAQ names 3–5 working days. More on the page about LunuBet Casino payment methods.

Processing. Spinanga and LunuBet pay out only to accounts in the player's own name; at BassBet, Spinrollz and Kingmaker the payment method must belong to the player. Processing by the casino takes up to 3 working days after the request at Spinanga, BassBet, Spinrollz and Kingmaker. Kingmaker additionally shows “Transaction may take 1-5 working days” in the cashier. After that comes the payment provider's processing time.

Fast withdrawal. Anyone searching for “paysafecard casino schnelle auszahlung” (fast payout) will find no withdrawal to Paysafecard at the five brands. Times are only given for other routes: BassBet, Spinrollz and Kingmaker write that e-wallet deposits and withdrawals are processed “quickly” but give no time; card transactions take somewhat longer there by their own account, because a bank processes them first.

Bonus. Anyone who has used a bonus should check the wagering conditions before withdrawing; at all five, 35 times deposit plus bonus within 10 days applies.

Keep the receipt: proof of payment

With prepaid payments, the receipt is often the only proof a player holds. The voices from Austria show how quickly it comes to matter. One player writes about a Paysafe debit card: “das Casino lehnt immer wieder meinen Nachweis der Einzahlung ab” (the casino keeps rejecting my proof of deposit). Another describes: “Einzahlung wurde vom Bankkonto abgebucht, aber dem Casino Konto nicht gutgeschrieben” (the deposit was debited from the bank account but not credited to the casino account). A third says he sent proof four times: “sent 4 times the screenshots from bank account and the confirmation email of skrill”. The question behind all three is the same: which document does the casino accept as proof?

What a PIN lacks. A PIN carries no name. A receipt from the Trafik shows the purchase, but not who paid. Payments through an account in the player's name are easier to prove. With paying by bank transfer, the booking appears on the bank statement with recipient, date and amount. Bank transfer is listed in both directions at all five brands and allows €5,000 per deposit according to the Austrian cashier. Disputes happen there too: “Lucky day behauptet sie haben kein Geld erhalten ! Meine Bank behauptet es wurde übermittelt” (Lucky day claims they received no money, my bank says it was sent).

What the five brands ask for. For a missing deposit, Spinanga's help centre describes a screenshot of the transaction with name, account number and details. For verification, Spinanga and LunuBet require proof of ownership of the payment method and the transaction history, i.e. bank, e-wallet or credit card statements, usually for 1–3 months. BassBet and Spinrollz set a deadline of 30 days for the documents and usually complete the check within 10 days. Kingmaker also names submission within 30 days. BassBet and Kingmaker additionally require ID and proof of address, and Spinrollz also checks ownership of the payment method for refunds.

What to keep. A small set per payment makes sense: the payment provider's confirmation with date, time and amount, the booking in the my paysafecard account or on the bank statement, the entry in the casino's transaction history and, if available, the confirmation email. The “failed” message at the casino in particular should be saved as a screenshot if the balance has already been debited by the payment provider.

Contact. All five brands offer live chat and email. Spinrollz and Kingmaker state that support is available around the clock, BassBet states 24/7 itself, and according to Casino.Guru its live chat is in English. LunuBet names a separate address for complaints, [email protected]. Which methods a player from Austria can choose from at the five brands overall is shown on the home page about online casino payment methods.

Fees as a point of dispute. No fee is set in the cashiers of the five brands. Under terms 6.8, however, the operator may retain 10 % of the last deposit, at least 0.5 EUR, as payment costs if less than the deposit amount is wagered and then withdrawn, or 15 % for bank card or bank transfer. A receipt for the deposit makes such a deduction traceable.

Redeeming e-money

One question comes up again and again with prepaid balances: what happens to a remainder that is no longer needed? For e-money, the Austrian E-Money Act 2010 (E-Geldgesetz) contains two rules. Under § 19 para. 1, the redemption conditions including fees must be stated “clearly and prominently” in the contract between the e-money issuer and the e-money holder. Under § 19 para. 4, if the e-money holder requests redemption on or up to one year after the end of the contract, “the total nominal value of the e-money held” must be refunded.

The available data does not answer what legal nature a particular Paysafecard balance has or which conditions apply to it. What counts are the issuer's contract terms, which under § 19 para. 1 must clearly state the redemption conditions. For players this means: before buying a larger voucher, it is worth reading these terms.

A second remainder can arise at the casino itself. Anyone switching to a method with a higher minimum amount may deposit more than they want to play. The lower limits per casino and method are collected on the page about the minimum deposit. Spinrollz and Kingmaker charge 5 EUR per month under the terms for accounts inactive for 180 days; Spinanga names an administration fee of 5 EUR in terms 6.18. A balance left over after a deposit may be affected after 180 days of inactivity.
