Responsible Gambling

I. Counselling across Austria

Spielsuchthilfe advises players and their relatives throughout Austria: free of charge, confidential and anonymous on request (in German).

The Austrian Federal Ministry of Finance (BMF) keeps a list of counselling and treatment centres for problem gambling, sorted by the nine federal states.

II. Player protection unit at the BMF

Under § 1 (4) of the Austrian Gambling Act (GSpG), a player protection unit (Spielerschutzstelle) has been set up at the Federal Ministry of Finance. It is an official point of contact for player protection questions in Austria.

III. Self-exclusion in the player account

At the Austrian operator win2day, an account can be blocked for the whole platform or for individual game areas. According to win2day, an exclusion takes effect immediately and cannot be reversed.

Other operators describe deposit limits and exclusions in their own terms, usually in the account area under player protection or responsible gambling.

IV. Warning signs

These are reasons to talk to a counselling service:

• You deposit more often or more money than planned.
• You want to win back losses with the next deposit.
• You borrow money to play or hide your gambling.
• Other parts of daily life take a back seat.

V. Where limits and exclusions are set

Deposit limits and exclusions are set by each operator in its own player account. How this works at a given casino is stated in its terms. ZahlungsmethodenCheck holds no accounts and cannot set an exclusion itself.

VI. Affiliate links

Links behind “Play now” lead to external operators with their own terms; we may earn a commission. Gambling is for adults 18+ only.
