eps transfer at online casinos: depositing via your Austrian bank
Values per casino compared.
For players from Austria, eps is the payment method that connects most directly to their own bank: the casino deposit is approved in the bank's online banking, not via a card or a wallet. At Spinanga, Lunubet, Bassbet, Spinrollz and Kingmaker, eps is listed in the Austrian cashier, and at all five it is a deposit-only method. None of the five AT lists includes an eps withdrawal.
That places eps in the family of bank payments. How a classic payment by bank transfer differs from eps and “Sofort”, and which of these routes work in both directions in the AT cashiers, is covered on the parent page. This page is about eps itself: minimum and maximum amounts per casino, the flow from the cashier to approval in the banking app, the case where an error appears at the end of the payment, and the question of which route is used for withdrawals after an eps deposit.
Search queries from Austria show what people usually want to know: “eps casino”, “online casino mit eps einzahlung” or “online casino eps überweisung”. Behind all of them sits the same two-part question: does a casino accept eps, and what happens to the money afterwards? The answers rely on the cashier lists and terms of the five brands. Where Casino.Guru, AskGamblers or LCB give different information, it is shown alongside as a deviation, without preferring one source over another.

eps at the five casinos
In the AT cashier of all five brands, eps carries the label “deposit”. The differences lie in the amounts. Next to eps, the cashier at all five brands also shows card, Revolut, bank transfer, MiFinity and a long list of cryptocurrencies.
Deviating lists. Casino.Guru names the eps transfer in global lists for Spinanga, Lunubet, Bassbet and Spinrollz, and AskGamblers and LCB list EPS for Spinanga. These lists are not specific to Austria, but they confirm that eps is not a special case of the AT cashier at these brands. How eps fits into the overall picture next to card, wallet, prepaid and crypto is shown method by method in the overview of payment methods compared.
Minimum amount. According to the cashier, Spinanga, Bassbet and Kingmaker require €15 for eps, Spinrollz 15 EUR. At these four brands eps therefore sits above the €10 minimum that applies there to card, bank transfer, Revolut and MiFinity. Lunubet sets €20 according to the AT cashier, for eps as well as for card, Revolut, bank transfer and MiFinity. According to Lunubet's FAQ, by contrast, the minimum deposit is “usually” €10. Both figures stand side by side; what counts for an individual payment is what the cashier asks for when the amount is entered.
Maximum amount. Per deposit, the cashiers of all five brands state €900 for eps. That is the lowest maximum of any method in the AT lists: the card is listed at €2,000, MiFinity at €2,500, bank transfer, Revolut and cryptocurrencies at €5,000. Spinanga adds in its terms that the operator sets minimum and maximum amounts at its own discretion. Anyone who wants to deposit larger amounts in one go therefore hits the limit sooner with eps than with a classic transfer.
Bonus. For the welcome bonus, all five brands require a minimum deposit of €20. eps is not on the exclusion list at any of the five; Neteller and Skrill are the excluded methods. At Spinanga, Bassbet, Spinrollz and Kingmaker the bonus threshold is thus above the cashier's eps minimum, while at Lunubet both values match according to the AT cashier.
Anyone who wants to deposit more than the eps limit of €900 finds two routes in the AT lists with €5,000 per deposit: bank transfer or Revolut, and cryptocurrencies. With crypto at casinos there is the added point that the coins are also listed on the withdrawal side at all five brands; Bitcoin has its own minimum deposit of €30 at all five.
On the bank side, one provision of the Payment Services Act matters. Under § 73 ZaDiG 2018, the payment service provider may refuse an authorised payment order if its execution would breach a rule of Union or national law. Under § 3 GSpG, gambling in Austria is reserved to the federal state. According to the government bill RV 594 d.B., warnings are to contain features that allow payment service providers to identify affected transactions, for banks in particular the IBAN. Entry into force is planned with the end of 31.12.2026; as of 09.10.2026 the bill is with the Finance Committee and deliberations have not yet begun. How the monopoly, banks and the planned payment blocking fit together is explained on the page about the legal situation in Austria.
How an eps payment works
An eps deposit starts in the casino cashier and ends there too, with a stretch at your own bank in between. The flow is built the same way at all five brands; the differences concern the minimum amount and the information on crediting.
- 1
Open the cashier
In your account, go to the deposit section and choose eps or EPS from the list of AT methods.
- 2
Enter the amount
Enter an amount within the cashier limits: at least €15 at Spinanga, Bassbet, Spinrollz and Kingmaker, €20 at Lunubet according to the AT cashier, at most €900 per deposit.
- 3
Choose your bank
After the redirect, select your own Austrian bank.
- 4
Approve in online banking
Confirm the payment with your bank's credentials and approval procedure, for example by TAN or in the banking app.
- 5
Back to the cashier
After approval, return to the casino and check that the deposit has been credited to your account.
Only two of the five brands give a time for crediting. Spinanga writes in its help centre that deposits are credited “almost instantly” in the vast majority of cases, though it can take up to two hours. Lunubet uses the same formula in its FAQ: “almost instantly” in the vast majority of cases, up to two hours possible. For Bassbet, Spinrollz and Kingmaker the data contains no information on crediting time.
The account holder matters. All five brands require the payment method used to belong to the player. Spinanga, Bassbet, Spinrollz and Kingmaker also prohibit money transfers between customers, and Bassbet explicitly treats the use of someone else's payment method as fraud. For eps this means the payment must come from your own account at your own bank, not from a partner's or a family member's account.
Kingmaker is an example of how the cashier data makes the flow concrete. The AT cashier lists eps with a €15 minimum and a €900 maximum, the fee fields per method are set to 0.0000 and the fee is not activated. Kingmaker gives no information on crediting time. All of the brand's values at a glance are on the page about Kingmaker Casino payment methods.
For comparison, it is worth looking at the card. Visa and Mastercard are listed in both directions at all five brands, with a €10 minimum at Spinanga, Bassbet, Spinrollz and Kingmaker and a €2,000 maximum per deposit. In the cashier the card is usually called “Pay by Card”, the withdrawal “Withdraw to Card”. Approval runs via the card rather than online banking, and the route back to the card is listed. What applies to refunds is covered on the page about credit cards at casinos.
Approval in the banking app (TAN)
The step at the bank is the core of an eps payment. Exactly which steps are needed is set by your own bank, not by the casino: approval uses the procedure the bank also uses for other online payments, for example a TAN or a confirmation in the banking app.
From the player's side there are three places where an eps payment can get stuck. First, the amount in the cashier does not reach the method's minimum deposit. For eps it is €15 at Spinanga, Bassbet, Spinrollz and Kingmaker, above the card's €10; at Lunubet it is the same €20 as for the other methods according to the AT cashier, and anyone who knows the minimum deposit per casino and method enters the right amount straight away. Second, approval at the bank is not completed, for example because the confirmation in the app does not arrive. Third, the payment has gone through at the bank, but the casino credit is missing.
For the third case, the bank's confirmation is the most important document. Spinanga describes in its help centre what it asks for when a deposit is missing: a screenshot of the transaction showing name, account number and details. Anyone who has completed approval in the banking app should therefore keep the confirmation or take a screenshot before switching back to the cashier. What to check step by step when a deposit not received is the problem is set out on a separate page.
At the latest with the first withdrawal, the banking app comes into play a second time. All five brands require proof that the payment method used belongs to the player, plus the transaction history. Spinanga and Lunubet mention bank, e-wallet or credit card statements, usually covering 1–3 months. Bassbet and Spinrollz set a deadline of 30 days for documents and usually complete checks within 10 days; Kingmaker also asks for submission within 30 days. Bassbet and Kingmaker additionally require ID and proof of address. At Spinanga, deposits and withdrawals can be blocked until verification is complete.
eps or “Sofort”: what the bank approves
In Austrian forums, eps often comes up in comparison with “Sofort”. The voices on this come not from casinos but from online retail, yet they show why many Austrians choose eps for bank payments. One customer describes a shop that only offered “Sofort”: “Vor allem ohne Alternative! (kein eps zb)”, meaning there was no alternative such as eps. Another noticed that “SOFORT” asked for a permission for payments, namely the permission to view account data in George. A third writes that Klarna and SOFORT have access to all of your account transactions. Another user's recommendation is brief: “In AT solln sie einfach EPS verwenden, super Sache.”
For the five casinos the comparison is settled quickly, because “Klarna/Sofort” is not listed in any of their AT cashiers. Only the location-dependent short lists in Spinanga's help centre and Lunubet's FAQ name “Sofort” and Giropay among the most common methods. For Austria the cashier list is what counts, and there eps is the listed bank payment alongside the classic bank transfer. Trustly is not listed either.
Next to eps, the AT cashiers include the classic bank transfer, marked as SEPA at Spinanga, Lunubet and Bassbet. It is listed in both directions at all five, has a €10 minimum at Spinanga, Bassbet, Spinrollz and Kingmaker, and allows €5,000 per deposit. Choosing between eps and a transfer is therefore also a choice of limits and of the route back. The differences in detail are summarised in the overview of bank transfer, eps and “Sofort”.
Fees and limits with eps
On the cashier side, the information is clear: none of the five brands has a deposit or withdrawal fee set for eps or any other AT method. In Spinrollz's payment list, no fee is explicitly set for eps either.
There is, however, a cost rule in the terms, and it applies to every deposit. Under section 6.8 of the terms of all five brands, a minimum turnover of x1 applies: if less than the deposit amount is wagered and then withdrawn, the operator may retain 10 % of the last deposit, at least 0.5 EUR, as payment costs, or 15 % for a bank card or bank transfer. Whether eps counts as a bank transfer here is not stated. Anyone who deposits via eps and wants to withdraw without playing should be aware of this clause. At Spinanga, the live English version v1.12 of the terms also contains a new clause on a minimum turnover of 20 EUR per month, which is missing from the archived German version v1.8.
In addition, all five charge an administration fee of 5 EUR per month for accounts that have been inactive for 180 days (section 6.18). It has nothing to do with eps, but it affects any balance left sitting after a deposit.
How unpleasant unexpected costs on bank payments can be is shown by a voice from Austria about a different provider: on a deposit via “pay via Bank”, “Überweisungsspesen für die Einzahlung ohne meine Einwilligung” were deducted, meaning transfer charges taken without consent. Which methods really run without a fee is answered for the five brands by the cashier data: no fee set, with the exception in the terms mentioned above.
Beyond the €900 per deposit, none of the brands names a daily or monthly limit specifically for eps. The lower limits per casino are collected on the page about the minimum deposit per casino and method.
Errors at the end of the payment
The trickiest case with eps is a payment that was debited at the bank but did not arrive at the casino. A player from Austria describes exactly that: “Ich habe Zahlung über EPS durchgeführt wobei am Ende der Transaktion ein Fehler aufgetreten ist”, an error at the end of the transaction. The money had left the account, but it was missing at the casino. Another describes the same situation with a bank transfer: the casino claims it received no money, while the bank says the payment was sent.
The first question is then how long to wait. Spinanga and Lunubet give the window of up to two hours described above; the other three brands give none. A second eps payment for the same amount before the first is resolved only increases the total of open transactions.
The second question concerns proof towards the casino. Useful items are the entry on the bank statement and the confirmation from the banking app with date, amount and recipient. All five brands offer contact via live chat and email; Spinrollz and Kingmaker state round-the-clock support, and for Bassbet the live chat is in English according to Casino.Guru.
If the credit still does not appear, going through your own bank is the third step. The bank can confirm whether and to whom the payment was executed.
Anyone who wants to switch to another method after such a case should know the AT lists. Trustly is not listed at any of the five, and there too a player from Austria reports that money deposited via Trustly was not credited at the casino. Prepaid is not an alternative in these cashiers either: Paysafecard at casinos is not listed for Austria at any of the five brands, and neither is PayPal. Listed for deposits besides eps are the card, bank transfer, Revolut, MiFinity and crypto, plus PlayID at Spinanga and Bassbet. How these routes fit together is shown in the overview of online casino payment methods for players from Austria.
Withdrawals after an eps deposit
Since eps is only on the deposit side at all five brands, every withdrawal needs a different route. The terms regulate this in slightly different wording:
- Spinanga: withdrawals via the same method as the deposit wherever possible; the operator may use other payment systems.
- Lunubet: the same method wherever possible; if it is not available for withdrawals, choose another option, with bank transfer as the fallback.
- Bassbet: the same payment method wherever possible; the operator may use a different payment system.
- Spinrollz: the same payment method wherever possible; under section 6.10 the casino may pay out via a different payment system.
- Kingmaker: the same payment method where possible under section 6.2; under section 6.10 the company may use a different payment system.
After an eps deposit, the fallback rule therefore applies at all five. The obvious choice is bank transfer, because the money then flows back to the same account at your bank from which the eps payment came. It is listed for withdrawals at all five brands. The minimum withdrawal by transfer is €10 at Spinanga, Bassbet and Kingmaker, 10 EUR at Spinrollz and €20 at Lunubet according to the AT cashier. Spinanga and Lunubet only pay out to accounts in your own name under their rules.
Bassbet is a clear example of combining an eps deposit with bank transfer as the route back. eps there has a €15 minimum deposit, the transfer back a €10 minimum withdrawal, and no fees are activated in the cashier. At VIP level €1,500 per day and €7,000 per month apply, and a maximum of 3 withdrawals may be open at the same time. The full values are on the page about BassBet Casino payment methods.
At Spinrollz the key figures are similar, but the rules are worded more precisely. No fee is set for eps in the payment list, the minimum withdrawal by transfer is 10 EUR, and the limits at level 1 are 500 EUR per day and 7,000 EUR per month. For refunds, Spinrollz checks ownership of the payment method. More on the page about Spinrollz Casino payment methods.
Two phases need to be separated when it comes to timing. Processing by the casino takes up to 3 working days after the request at Spinanga, Bassbet, Spinrollz and Kingmaker, at the last three Monday to Friday from 6–17 GMT. Lunubet states 72 business hours at VIP level 1, 48 at level 2 and 36 at levels 3–5 according to its terms, but four working days according to its FAQ. Kingmaker's cashier also shows “Transaction may take 1-5 working days”. Then comes the bank: for transfers, Spinanga states 3–5 working days after payout, AskGamblers 3–7 days for the same brand; Lunubet states 3–5 working days in its FAQ. Bassbet, Spinrollz and Kingmaker give no information on this.
Besides bank transfer, the AT lists include card, Revolut, Skrill, MiFinity and cryptocurrencies for withdrawals. Skrill is a special case: at all five it is listed for withdrawals only and excluded from the bonus. Anyone who has used a welcome bonus should check the brand's wagering requirements before withdrawing; at all five, 35 times deposit plus bonus within 10 days applies.
